On the asymptotic expansion of the entropy of Gegenbauer polynomials

In this paper, the third term in the asymptotic expansion of the entropy for orthonormal Gegenbauer polynomials with fixed integer parameter is obtained as the degree of the polynomials tends to infinity, improving the results of Buyarov et al. (J. Phys. A 33 (2000) 6549), (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
