摘要：

In the last period of Nietzsche's philosophy appears the figure of St. Francis of Assisi. This article aims to illustrate how Nietzsche, despite the critique of the ascetic ideal as it emerges in Thus Spoke Zarathustra, embraces the authentic Christian values inspired by St. Francis. The reading of Ernest Renan's Vie de Jesus leads Nietzsche to interpret the figure of St. Francis as alter Christus.
