摘要
This paper describes the immobilization of trialkyl phosphine oxides (TRPO) waste in Gd2Zr2O7 pyrochlore through designed elements occupation. It was found that up to 45 wt% TRPO waste could be successfully incorporated in the Gd2Zr2O7 pyrochlore structure and the ordered pyrochlore structure was maintained. The Gd and Zr position could be replaced by the elements of TRPO wastes in the same time through designed elements occupation. Furthermore, the results of anti-leaching experiment shown that the immobilized TRPO waste have good chemical durability. This route provides an alternative flexible system to tackle radioactive wastes arising from the advanced nuclear reactors. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
