摘要
This paper deals with an optimum rotor configuration of a V-type interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM) by using an estimation technique called response surface methodology (RSM). The experiment required for RSM analysis of the magnetic devices was done using a numerical model based on the finite element method. Applying this methodology in electric motors design involves identifying an empirical model, that corelates the performance parameters of the electric motor with chosen designed variables. This design approach was applied using the analysis of the air-gap magnetic flux density spatial distribution to enhance performance of the IPMSM.
