摘要
Battery embedded fourth-order dc-dc boost Converter (BEFOBC), having two switches and two diodes is proposed in this paper. As this converter replaces the multiple converters used for de system, space used for the de system is appreciably reduced. In addition, utilization of battery within the converter provides the Fixed output power irrespective of variation in irradiance and variation in load. Thus, maximum power point tracking (MPPT) at the input of converter and voltage regulation (VR) at the output of the converter is achieved simultaneously. A mathematical model is presented for its operation under charging and discharging condition of the battery. Two PI controllers are then designed and decoupled to ensure independent input current control for MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) and output voltage control for VR (Voltage Regulation). 30V to 48 V boost converter with an embedded battery of 12 V is considered in PSIM simulation to verify the working of this converter.
