RETRACTION: Do patients profit from physostigmine in recovery from desflurane anaesthesia? (Retraction of Vol 51, Pg 278, 2007)

The above article published online 23 January 2007 in Wiley Online Library () has been retracted by agreement between the journal's Editor-in-Chief, Professor Michael Haney and John Wiley and Sons Ltd. This retraction follows an investigation by Jacob-Liebig-University into the research conduct of J. Boldt while teaching at the university and working at the Hospital of the City of Ludwigshafen. They found multiple instances of data irregularity and inconsistency between the data record at the university and related publications, leading to an assessment by the investigators of systematic unreliability for data in the related publications where J. Boldt was the responsible author. Based on the findings from their investigation, the Jacob-Liebig-University has recommended that journal editors retract all papers where J. Boldt is the responsible author.
