摘要
The degradation of electrical properties of high-T-c superconductors due to mechanical weaknesses is an important parameter in designing superconducting power devices such as cables and magnets. In this study, we have investigated the electrical properties of Bi-2223/Ag tapes for superconducting application under mechanical vibration. From these experiments, the I-c of Bi-2223/Ag tapes dependence on vibration frequency, time and the degradation was much severe in monofilament than 19-filament tape. The degradation of I-c may be caused both by the smaller Ag ratio of filament and by transverse cracking developed by vibration fatigue when the frequency increases. Finally AC losses of tapes under this circumstance were compared with those of virgin tapes. (C) 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
