The effect of flower removal on the yield and vegetative growth of A+ frigo plants of strawberry (Fragaria x ananassa Duch)

摘要
The yield and vegetative growth of A+ frigo plants, planted in spring and with, and without flower removal, were investigated during two growth seasons, Removal of flowers caused increased vegetative growth in both years and increased yield during the second year. it is suggested that the source/sink relationship of young strawberry A+ frigo plants is affected significantly by the presence or absence of flowers during the first year of growth.
