Covering the work of 250 artists and art historians, Amy Bryzgel's Performance Art in Eastern Europe since 1960 is a pioneering work that explores unfamiliar aspects of and connections between performance art and politics in Eastern Europe. It is aimed primarily at performance-art scholars but could also be of interest to cultural studies and gender studies scholars as well as to a general public.
