摘要
This paper provides a joint implementation of Fractional Frequency Reuse (FFR) and relays in the downlink of multi-cellular networks like Long Term Evolution (LTE) networks. The forecasted benefits concern inter-cell interference (ICI) mitigation in each cell. Based on this network architecture and related improvements, individual user throughputs and signal to interference plus noise ratio (SINR) are calculated for all the users and compared to the classical 1 x 3 x 3 frequency reuse scheme. System level simulation results show that our presented scheme can achieve significant improvements in terms of individual user throughput and spectrum efficiency.
