摘要：

A study is conducted to establish the suitability of Colombian glued laminated bamboo (Guadua Angustifolia Kunt) for structural applications. As part of this study, selected mechanical properties of glued laminated guadua (GLG) were investigated and they are reported in this paper. Results confirm that GLG has similar mechanical properties to best structural woods in Colombia. A comparison of the mechanical properties obtained in this research with the corresponding data reported around the world indicates that GLG can be suitable as a material for construction of structural elements.
