In field trials under free land conditions with defined sowings of volunteer rape seed, potatoes and weed beets non-selective herbicides were applied in herbicide resistant sugar beet fields following the systems LL and RR in separate fields. Sprayings of herbicides were carried out in different stages of beets and in varied dosages. The herbicidal effect against these weeds was evaluated in short distances of time. The systems LL and RR were more effective against these weeds than applications with conventional herbicides. The herbicidal effect of contact herbicides, especially against volunteer potatoes and rape seed, depended on the time of application and herbicide dosage.
