摘要
The present research seeks to enter, from an exhaustive historiographic and documentary review, in what were the systematic efforts of the Chilean State to forge a sense of belonging in the country of the inhabitants of the national territory with respect to Antarctica during the first fifty years of the twentieth century. The analysis of the concepts "State", "Territory" and "Territoriality" and its connection with the Antarctic, allows to configure a rather pristine map of what is the role executed from the high spheres of power during the middle century around the constant search for the creation of a lasting bond between the inhabitant and that new territory that came to form part of the body of the nation.
