Psychoanalytic aspects of crisis intervention. - At first glance one could assume that there are no points of contact between psychoanalysis and crisis intervention. Unlike this opinion, the author tries to show how the psychoanalytic approach, psychoanalytic understanding and - in a modified way-also psychoanalytic technique in the work with a person, who is in an acute psychosocial crisis, is possible; by doing so, crisis intervention can be even reinforced and specified. The subject is depicted in three different areas: 1. containing, 2. transference/counter-transference and work with a focus. The author describes two cases of crisis intervention following a traumatic loss to demonstrate the phenomenona of containing, traumatising transference and working through in the counter-transference.
