Simultaneous chiral- and flavor-symmetry breaking as a source of hierarchies of quark masses and mixing

摘要
Mass hierarchy of quark generations and their mixing must inevitably result from the simultaneous dynamical breakdown of chiral and flavor symmetries. These two phenomena, which are independent in the Standard Model and in many generalizations of this model, come to be related in the proposed approach, since they have a common dynamical origin. Owing to this reason, basic features of these dynamics can be guessed on the basis of the observed properties of the mass hierarchy and the weak-mixing matrix.
