摘要
The reaction between the 1,1-carbonyldiimidazole and Co(NO3)(2)6H(2)O produced the crystalline material [Co(Im)(6)](NO3)(2) (Im=imidazole). The crystal structure of [Co(Im)(6)](NO3)(2) has been determined via X-ray diffraction and the result showed that Co(II) ion is coordinated by six nitrogen atoms from six ligands in a slightly distorted octahedral arrangement. The N-H...O hydrogen bonds generate a structure with two-dimensional networks. [Co(Im)(6)](NO3)(2) was characterized via elemental analysis, FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy and the thermal stability of the complex has also been investigated in the solid state. In addition, the antibacterial activity of Im and [Co(Im)(6)](NO3)(2) to Staphylococcus aureus was studied.
