Social benefit of urban infrastructure: An empirical analysis of four Chinese autonomous municipalities

摘要
Urban infrastructure social benefit is the positive influence on social progress and development generated by the use of urban infrastructure. This paper deconstructs urban infrastructure social benefit into three effects: income effect, resident health effect, and development potential effect. We introduce a comprehensive approach to analysing these levels and apply it to four Chinese autonomous municipalities. The results show that the three effects of urban infrastructure social benefit were not coordinated, which led to its low levels in these four cities.
