摘要：
The species of the giant water scavenger beetle genus Hydrophilus Geoffroy occurring in the United States and Canada are reviewed. Three species are recorded: Hydrophilus (s. str.) insularis Laporte de Castelnau, Hydrophilus (Dibolocelus) ovatus Gemminger and Harold, and Hydrophilus (s. str.) triangularis Say. A key to species and distribution maps of each taxon are provided.
