摘要
Transmission characteristics through different subwavelength aperture arrays in gold film are studied via simulation in this paper. Circular holes, square holes and triangular holes are considered. We note that triangular holes have the maximum transmission efficiency among the three different kinds of hole shapes of the same size and periodicity and we suggest that the increase of perimeter distance might play a role in the increased transmission efficiency. Besides, through the contrast between metallic nanohole arrays of equilateral triangular and isosceles triangular apertures, we have shown that the transmission efficiency of isosceles triangular holes is bigger and the peak position is red-shifted, when compared with the equilateral triangular counterpart of the same size and periodicity. Furthermore, we suggest that sharp tips of the isosceles triangular apertures might have bigger influence on the extraordinary optical transmission phenomenon than the perimeter distance for the gold film arrays of isosceles triangular apertures.
