Test data from small, corner fatigue crack tests are used to examine the relationships between the standard deviation of the rates of growth and the number of grains intersected by the crack front as functions of crack length. A nonlinear regression analysis is used to obtain a. relationship for the standard deviation of the growth rates as a function of,crack length.
