Synthesis and X-ray structures of rhenium(I) carbonyl aminoalkoxide and aminocarboxylate complexes

The complexes [Re{MeN(CH2CH2O)(CH2CH2OH)-kappa N-3,O,O)(CO)(3)] (1), [Re{N(CH2CH2O)(CH2CH2OH)(2)-kappa N-3,O,O}(CO)(3)] (2), [Me3NH](2)[(OC)(3)Re{N(CH2CO2)(2)-kappa N-3,O,O} CH2CH2 {N(CH2CO2)(2)-kappa N-3,O,O} Re(CO)(3)] (3), [Me3NH](2)[Re-2{mu(2)-2,6-(O2C)(2)(C5H3N)-K k(3)N,O,O}(2)(CO)(6)](4) and [Re-2{mu(2)-2,6-(OCH2)(C5H3N)(CH2OH)-kappa N-2, O}(2)(CO)(6)] (5) were synthesized in high yields via the reactions of [Re-2(CO)(10)] and Me3NO with MeN(CH2,CH2OH)(2), N(CH2CH2OH)(3), EDTA, pyridine-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and pyridine-2,6-dimethanol, respectively. Complexes 1-5 were characterized by IR and H-1 NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis and X-ray crystallography. (c) 2006 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
