摘要
The spatial interaction between cities in any region determines the process of urbanization evolution. Up to now, this mechanism is described and explained by the Gravity Model. This paper begins with the theory analysis on the relationship of cities, region, communication, and urbanization, and bases conceptual model on it, the study finds that the traditional Gravity Model on urbanization can not explain the urbanization exactly. Then, through gaming simulation on SWARM platform, a case study on Beijing-Tianjin Region and Yangtze River Delta testifies the conclusions, some invisible variables, such as the communication cost and efficiency are the key elements which determine urbanization evolution.
