摘要：

In this paper, resource is the basic unit utilized in product development process (PDP). Synthesis and refinement of resource are two basic operations in PDP. PDP is a description of basic operations, basic operational sequence and basic operational opportunity on resource. A model of knowledge representation of resource and a model of operators about the basic operations on resource are presented Then based on the two models the process model of PDP is given. Finally, based on the models, some problems about creative design are discussed.
