摘要：

Aspects of useful applications of main group Lewis acid-base pairs for the synthesis of sophisticated organometallic architectures are reviewed. Special emphasis is put on the author's own studies of boron-nitrogen and boron-phosphorus adducts and the relevance of the compounds obtained for the development of (i) organometallic materials, (ii) supramolecular entities and (iii) novel homogeneous catalysts.
