Pregnancy in five patients after laparoscopic myomectomy with the harmonic scalpel

This is the first published series of case reports of pregnancy following laparoscopic myomectomy with the Harmonic scalpel, Uterine dehiscence during pregnancy and adhesion formation, which might prevent pregnancy, have been the main concerns with performing a laparoscopic myomectomy. All patients in this study achieved pregnancies within 3 months of discontinuing contraception, None of the patients with second-look laparoscopies or laparotomies had formation of adhesions, Three patients delivered at term without evidence of uterine dehiscence.
