Interdiffusion between aluminum and Al-Mg alloys

摘要
The interdiffusion in the Al-rich solid solution of Al-Mg alloys was investigated in the concentration range of 0 to 14.4 at.% Mg at temperatures between 648 and 848 K using EPMA. The interdiffusion coefficients (D) over tilde were determined from the diffusion profiles by the Boltzmann-Matano method. The temperature and concentration dependences of (D) over tilde were determined. The impurity diffusion coefficients of Mg in aluminum obtained by extrapolating to zero concentration in the concentration dependence were compared with the results of the impurity diffusion coefficients of Mg in aluminum obtained by other workers.
