A new species of Ichthyothere (Compositae: Heliantheae: Milleriinae), I. sasakiae, is described and illustrated from the campo rupestre da Amazonia on the Serra do Rochedo, Municipio de Mundo Novo, northern Mato Grosso State, Brazil.
