摘要
Eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia nervosa, originate in late childhood and early adolescence and are frequently paired with depression and anxiety. It has been reported that 50% to 70% of patients with anorexia and bulimia have comorbid depressive, obsessive-compulsive or anxiety disorders. An interdisciplinary team including pediatrics or general medicine, nutrition, and mental health provides the most comprehensive and effective treatment approach. Complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) health interventions have been increasingly utilized in pediatrics and adolescent medicine, and may be especially helpful in those with chronic illness and mental health disorders. CAM providers may be an important 4(th) team member to help address eating/ nutrition concerns and mental health issues.
