摘要
Peer-to-peer (P2P) lending has become very popular for its great convenience and low transaction cost in recent years. In China, the emerging online lending market develops very fast. At the same time, some chaotic social phenomena appear because of the lack of regulation. Not only P2P lending industry is affected by the regulation system, regulation system also has been greatly influenced by the industry development trajectory. This paper explores how the P2P lending industry and its regulation system co-evolve and figures out the mechanisms of socio-technical transition in Chinese context through a comprehensive case analysis. A complete co-evolution framework of regulation system and industry in socio-technical transition is proposed as reference for further research.
