Infrared absorption cross-sections and integrated absorption intensities of perfluoroethane and cis-perfluorocyclobutane

Absorption cross-sections and integrated absorption intensities for the principal infrared bands of perflouroethane (C-2 F-6) and cis-perfluorocyclobutane (c-C-4 F-8) vapours have been derived from quantitative laboratory measurements of their spectra. Fourier transform spectroscopy using a resolution of 0.03 cm(-1) over the spectral range 500-1900 cm(-1) was employed. Measurements on pure vapour, and vapour/air mixtures were made, at sample temperatures between 203 and 293 K. Comparisons between these measurements and previously reported values have been made.
