Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using underutilized fruit Baccaurea ramiflora (Latka) juice and its biological and cytotoxic efficacy against MCF-7 and MDA-MB 231 cancer cell lines

摘要
In modern science, nanotechnology is the most current area of research. Due to its high surface-to-volume ratio nanoparticles have various biomedical applications. In the present study, we have described the ecofriendly biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles from AgNO3 into AgNPs using underutilized fruit Baccaurea ramiflora (Latka) juice. B. ramiflora is an underutilized fruit with a high nutritious value under the family Phyllantheceae. During AgNP synthesis, visualization of solution color changes from yellowish to reddishbrown partially confirms the presence of AgNPs. The surface morphology, size and stability of synthesized silver nanoparticles were determined by SEM, FESEM, HRTEM, EDX, XRD, and DLS. Furthermore, antioxidant efficacy and antimicrobial effectivity were determined by using both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. To know the anticancer effects, MTT assay was done on two human breast cancer cell lines and from this study, dose-dependent cytotoxicity of AgNPs was found in the above cell lines and IC50 values were found to be 110 mg/ml and 140 mg/ml respectively after 48hr of treatment and from this study, we may say that AgNPs have that kind of efficiency to impede cancer.
