Renal trauma is predominantly secondary to blunt trauma and is managed nonoperatively. Endovascular interventions are reserved for patients with a significant vascular injury recognized early. Renal injuries are uncommon among intra-abdominal injuries and account for a minority of injuries treated by the vascular specialist. (C) 2014 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
