摘要
Load inertia ratio is an important parameter in machine tool design. Under high speed and high acceleration, the coupling relationship between feed system subsystems will be more complicated, whether the inertia ratio range traditionally determined by experience can still exert the best performance of the machine tool is worth studying. This paper proposes a new method to study the design law of inertia ratio, by eliminating the influence of servo control, to study the matching characteristics between motion process and inertia ratio. The results show that when the speed and acceleration of the feed system are low, the inertia ratio has little effect on the system performance; under high speed and high acceleration, the dynamic characteristics will be more complicated, the inertia ratio must be strictly limited within a certain range to effectively improve system performance. This study provides theoretical support for the design of high-speed machine tools. (C) 2020 The Author(s). Published by Elsevier Ltd.
