摘要：
This paper presents a Genetic Algorithm (GA) based Method for the allocation and tuning of TCSC to improve poorly damped oscillations. The method only uses Eigen-values of systems oscillatory modes, thus system transfer function isn't needed. This feature makes the method applicable in large systems which all of the system data aren't available. The method is implemented in DIgSILENT software which contains a powerful programming language called DPL. The effectiveness of the method has been tested on IEEE 9-bus system.
