Digital technology is a tool that has been increasingly used in the daily lives of citizens in the most diverse situations and spaces, for example in non-formal educational spaces, such as museums, and also at school. To investigate how digital technology has been used in museums, we searched for scientific articles published in Qualis A1 magazines, in the teaching area, fronn 2015 to 2019 was analyzed. 13 magazines were analyzed and 23 articles were identified with based on the descriptors: museunns, technology and technology in museums. Subsequently, these articles were grouped by categories, using content analysis methodology. The results show a decrease in publications about museums and a discreet, but not significant, increase in publications in the area of digital technology. No publication was found regarding the use of technology in museums. This fact indicates the need to invest in more studies on this topic due to its importance in today's society.
