One-pot coaxial electrospinning fabrication and properties of magnetic-luminescent bifunctional flexible hollow nanofibers

摘要
Novel magnetic-luminescent bifunctional Fe3O4/Eu(BA)(3)phen/PVP flexible hollow nanofibers were fabricated by one-pot coaxial electrospinning technique. Different from the traditional preparation process of hollow fiber via coaxial electrospinning, which need to undergo firstly coaxial electrospinning fabrication of the coaxial fiber and followed by removing the core, whereas in our study, no any core spinning solution is used to directly fabricate Fe3O4/Eu(BA)(3)phen/PVP flexible hollow nanofibers on conditions that the electrospinning rate and volatilization rate of the shell spinning solution are fast enough. The diameter of the Fe3O4/Eu(BA)(3)phen/PVP hollow nanofibers is ca. 230 nm, and obvious hollow structure can be observed in the core of the nanofibers. The Fe3O4/Eu(BA)(3)phen/PVP hollow nanofibers possess both luminescent and magnetic properties. The new-typed Fe3O4/Eu(BA)(3)phen/PVP flexible hollow nanofibers are expected to apply in many fields.
