摘要
The main objective of this study was to find out the effects of a rapid cure process of cotton fabrics for wrinkle-resistance on their colorability, on using the DMEU resin. According to empirical data, during the rapid cure process, addition of PEG is beneficial to both wrinkle-resistance and colorability of the processed fabrics. The wrinkle-resistance of the processed fabric improves at the lower ends with increasing PEG concentration and at a higher treatment temperature. However, when the PEG concentration exceeded 10%, both colorability and wrinkle-resistance of the processed fabric were, instead, deteriorated. Besides, we discovered that when the molecular weight of PEG used was of 1000, its concentration was set at 10%, and the heat treatment temperature was in the 180-200degrees range, the resulted processed fabric displaying much better wrinkle-resistance and colorability than that recorded in conventional treatments.
