Silver glass nanocomposites were prepared by exposing silver doped soda lime glass slides obtained via ionexchange reaction to a beam of 200 keV Argon ions (Ar+) at an off normal angle of 400 with doses of 5x10(15) ions cm(-2) and 1x10(16) ions cm(-2). These nanocomposites were further characterized using UV-visible spectrophotometer so as to study their transmission and reflection behavior and compute their refractive index and real and imaginary parts of dielectric function.
