摘要
Pure water was sprayed by a pneumatic atomizer into a low-pressure gas cell, and the droplets were interrogated by Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) extinction spectroscopy in the region of 700-5000 cm(-1). The spectral analysis using Mie scattering theory revealed that the particles have an average diameter of 170 run and their phases are either supercooled liquid or ice, depending on the condition of atomization. Application of pneumatic atomization to ail aqueous solution of BSA was also demonstrated.
