The influence of Al on the properties of cold rolled C-Mn-Si TRIP steels

摘要
The partial substitution of silicon by aluminium in TRIP steels results in very good mechanical properties with an improved formability compared to the conventional C-Mn-Si TRIP steel. The strain hardening behavior was studied in detail and revealed that all the specimens had a very high n value but the strain dependence was different. The strain hardening of C-Mn-Si TRIP steel reaches a maximum at low strain, while the Al alloyed TRIP steel showed a gradual increase of the n value, resulting in a larger uniform elongation. Investigation of the microstructure revealed that the Al alloyed steel contained both a larger volume fraction of retained austenite and a larger amount of bainite with a finer structure than the C-Mn-Si TRIP steel.
