Genesis of the notion "acculturation" in the history of scientific discourse of the 19th 21th centuries

The study of the concept of "acculturation" has remained relevant for a long time. This article takes a historical digression into the history of the very concept of "acculturation" and traces the genesis of acculturation problems in foreign and domestic scientific thought. Investigating the history of the formation and development of the concept of acculturation, the authors of the article formulate the conclusion that its content changes with the development of scientific thought, is filled with a new meaning, and acquires new features. Acculturation today is treated as a form of intercultural communication of various communities (or individuals), in which interacting cultures perceive each other's properties, resulting in a certain "identity" of both cultures and an integrity that has qualitatively new characteristics.
