摘要
The power/efficiency diagram is a very convenient and powerful tool for the design and analysis of energy systems. While in most cases it is not difficult to recognize the commodity of interest to represent as power, different methods can be used to quantify the efficiency. In this investigation a method is proposed to present the second law efficiency that has the flexibility to address the recoverability of the exergy in the products. As an example, the power/efficiency diagram is developed for a heat exchanger, and four different options of presenting the second law efficiency are compared.
