Business-IT Strategic Alignment Based on COBIT and the Balanced Scorecard

With the ceaseless improvement of Information Technology (IT), its wider application in enterprises, and the increasingly impelling of the process of informatization, IT has been increasingly dependable and essential for enterprises. In recent years, a great deal of research and analysis focused on the linkages between business and IT and their strategic alignment. In this paper, based on the former research results, utilizing the popular IT control structure-COBIT(the Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology) and IT BSC (IT Balanced Scorecard), we proposed a practical, valuable, easy-to-operate IT-Business strategical alignment model, which includes integration and control, measurement and evaluation.
