摘要
A novel acyclic copper complex of Cu(L)(H2O) (H2L=N,N'-1,2-ethanediyl-bis[N-(4-methoxyphenyl)methylglycine]) has been synthesized and structurally characterized by means of X-ray single crystal diffraction. Interestingly, this Cu(II) complex has been found to cleave supercoiled DNA (pBR 322) to nicked and linear forms in aerobic condition. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
