Dielectric sphere rotating in a static field

A galilean description of rotations is generally used to analyse this old problem. This implies a breakdown of the relativistic covariance of electromagnetism which is a possible cause of discrepancy between theory and experiment. In this work, we use a relativistic description of rotations that restores the full covariance of Maxwell's equations to analyse the radiation due to a dielectric sphere rotating in a static electric and magnetic field.
