摘要
Closterocerus mirabilis sp. n. is described from Victoria, Australia. This species is a parasitoid of several species of leafmining Agromyzidae, and a potential biological-control agent for invasive agromyzid species. Due to the generalist nature of leafmining pests, conservation biological control utilising indigenous natural enemies should be the starting point for sustainable control measures against newly invading pests. This new species becomes part of the knowledge base for creating a contingency plan against invasive dipterous leafminers.
