摘要
Groundwater Security and sustainability is the core issue concerned by the hydrogeologists around the world. With global warming and intensified human activities, many environmental geological disasters, such as large regional groundwater cones of depression, land subsidence and ground water pollution, occurred in North China Plain due to the over-exploitation of groundwater resources. The major challenge we face is how to effectively address the question of groundwater protection and sustainable use. This paper present some approaches to solve such problems based on the analysis of groundwater exploitation and utilization and its main problems in North China Plain, which provide supports for the government departments to constitute relevant policies
