摘要
A generic iteration based algorithm was developed as an alternative optimization model for designing hybrid renewable energy resources. System optimization is based on cost of energy and unit numbers. This paper compares the simulation results between the Homer and the in-house model and addresses the differences observed. Four major independent factors account for the differences, namely power generation by WT and PVC, battery rating and efficiency, power shortfall and cost components. Around 10 percent differences are noticed at the optimized condition, though the differences are somewhat inconsistent. Overall, the in-house model appears to be conservative, flexible, better in performance and simple to use than the model used in Homer software package.
