摘要
Fault-detection methods were discussed for use in low-cost components, followed by a review of principles for fault-tolerant design of sensors, actuators and communication. These methods and principles were evaluated and their application to low-cost automotive components and drive-by wire systems were shown. The development of drive-by-wire systems were expected to achieve reliable and fault-tolerant sensors, microcomputers and electromechanical components.
