Preparation of biodegradable poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) and poly(ethylene glycol) multiblock copolymers

摘要
Synthesis of poly(3-hydroxybutyrate) (PHB) and poly(ethylene glycol) (PEG) multiblock copolymers was discussed. Acid catalyzed alcohololysis and methanolysis were performed to obtain to obtain PHB oligomers with the desired molecular weight. PEG as block segment was introduced into the main chain of PHB, and PHB/PEG multiblock copolymers were prepared. It was found that the multiblock copolymers, which consists of hydrophobic segments of PHB crystalline domain and hydrophilic segments of PEG, are amphiphilic copolymers.
